Elena González Sosto
The Green Tica
Elena is a Costa Rican civil engineer living in Massachusetts. After getting her degree in Civil Engineering and working for about 2 years in Costa Rica, she moved to the US and got her Master's degree in Engineering and Public Policy, with a concentration in Energy and Environment from Northeastern University. As a civil engineer in Costa Rica, Elena had the opportunity of working in a wide range of projects, from highway public infrastructure to private real estate development. While working for the public infrastructure project, she was able to witness the importance of greater collaboration between policymakers and civil engineers, as well as between the private and the public sectors.
