Wei-Tai Kwok, Climate Activist
Prior to his City Council appointment in 2021, he served on the Lafayette Environmental Task Force and the Community Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Committee. He has also been a 4-year Board Member and past President of Sustainable Lafayette, where he had the opportunity to work on and lead numerous initiatives in support of the City’s Environmental Action Plan to drive water and energy conservation, reduce/ban single-use plastic bags/straws, reduce pollution/idling, opt-up to MCE Deep Green 100% renewable energy, promote Bay Area SunShares, recycling education and more. The City recognized his contributions in 2015 as an honoree of the Lafayette “Green Award” for Environmental Excellence.
